It is the start of the Rotary Club of Florence (@FlorenceRotary) Annual Community Update Series. Starting on August 9th. The club will be joined by the Superintendent of Boone County Schools (@Boone_County), Matt Turner (@SuptTuner). Mr. Turner will give an update on the beginning of the school year and looking forward to working with the community on the district’s new five year strategic plan. 
Mr. Turner has served in education for 29 years. The last 14 as Principal at Ryle High, Northern Kentucky’s largest high school with a student population of 2000. Before that he served as Assistant Principal at Ryle, assistant principal at Lloyd Memorial High in Erlanger, KY, and assistant principal at Williamstown High School. He has held multiple other positions in education throughout his career that include teaching and coaching.
Mr. Turner’s background in education leadership includes Harvard’s Executive Leadership Program for Educators and the National Institute of School Leadership. Having worked in rural, urban and suburban settings to include small towns and larger metropolitan areas perfectly suits him to lead Kentucky’s third largest district of 21,000 students.

We have a delicious option for your luncheon this coming Monday … SubStation II in Ft. Wright! Their food is so good, and it’s very easy to order. Please try to place your order by the Friday afternoon before our meeting, or by 9:30/10:00 Monday morning at the latest.
1.) Please check out the web site www.substationii.com and click on “Order Online”;
2.) Select the Fr. Wright on Dixie Highway location for a “Pickup” (and NOT a delivery);
3.) Order your meal just like you would at the restaurant … select the sandwich size, bread, cheese and/or toppings, plus any additional items you may want (chips and/or a drink);
4.) Mark the order for an 11:30 pick-up on Monday. Under “Order Notes” please add “For Florence Rotary/Pickup by Dave Wolfer”;
5.) Pay via a credit card.
